From September 30-October 2, 2009 CoESS, the Confederation of European Security Services, in cooperation with its Italian member federation, FederSicurezza, celebrated its 20 years of representation and unification of private security in Europe in Rome, Italy. The events welcomed both internal and external delegates from diverse backgrounds.
During its 20 years of existence, CoESS accomplished key achievements in the promotion, development and professionalisation of the European private security industry. To mark this momentous occasion, an Academic Session was organised on September 30, 2009, featuring some eminent speakers and key persons who have at one or multiple stages contributed to the work of CoESS. The Academic Session was followed by an exclusive cultural visit to the famous Swiss Guards and a celebratory cocktail and gala dinner.
The CoESS General Assemblies both took place on October 1, 2009. Four CoESS Working Committees as well as the CoESS Board of Directors also decided to meet in Rome on October 2, 2009.
